20 km from the campsite, and now in Extremadura in the province of Badajoz, passing through the Bohonal is the El Cíjara Game Reserve.
This reserve is crossed by the River Guadiana, which with its tributaries, including the River Estena, crossing the Cabañeros National Park is one of the few places where you can get lost for hours, seeing only flora, fauna and water with a great diversity of plant and animal species.
The rock walls shelter species such as The Peregrine Falcon, The Egyptian Vulture, The Griffon Vulture, The Perdicerian azor-eagle and The Eurasian Owl.
